Packing efficiently

This is what we needed for 2 years.
Back in 2003 we left for the US for a two year work trip. At the time we had only five children from 2 to 12. That overloaded trolley was just the checked baggage, we also had quite a few carry on items too.
This time, with one extra in our little party, we have two carry on bags and a small collection of carry on items. The difference? Only three weeks - and most importantly - we are staying at a place with washing machine and dryer. Cool.
Tomorrow we embark on our trip back to Blairsville Georgia to revisit the place we lived when Rose was born. This is a great opportunity for Rose to get an understanding of her birth place beyond just a name and a place on the map. It is also a way for the younger children to gain a collection of memories that will connect them to the older three who still remember many good times of our stay over 12 years ago.
Although this is only a subset of the whole family, it is our first family holiday for almost 15 years. We have had a busy time since we returned from the US and it's a good time to recharge our batteries and gain some collective shared experiences.
Now all are in bed, ready for a relatively early rise ad the start of a great journey.
This is all we need for 3 weeks.

I had to think about it and might be crazy, but didn't you have five children when you moved here? Eric, Ariel, James, Clare and Peter???

Yep. Then we had Rose in the US and two more since we returned home. The older three are minding the store back home.
