This morning I hopped into my car as normal, caught a sight of something brown in the corner of my eye, and hopped straight out again. This little fellow is a Huntsman spider. Big and ugly but not very dangerous. He was lurking in the little opening beside my chair when I got in.
I just used a handkerchief to flick him out of the hole and then out of the car. Before I could suggest otherwise, Eric squished the spider.
